In a foster home
Woody is a handsome grey gelding who is currently in a foster home and looking to transfer straight to a new home as a non- ridden companion.
Woody is a very sweet natured pony, with a friendly character and always eager to please. He enjoys being groomed and receiving lots of attention.
Woody has a history of laminitis, so needs a home where his grazing can be restricted and he can have access to grass free turnout when the grass is at its richest. He will need his weight monitoring throughout the year.
Any prospective borrower would have the opportunity to visit the centre and also meet with Woody in his foster home.
Can you offer Woody a home where he can be loved and receive lots of attention.
Non-ridden companions will be rehomed on a monitored and supported loan scheme, Blue Cross will reimburse the annual vaccinations, dental, health check along with providing the first years worming programme which is kindly sponsored by Zoetis Animal Health.

Blue Cross offers a unique supported loan scheme which is offered to all non ridden companion horses and some riding horses with specific health requirements.
Blue Cross offers a unique supported loan scheme which is offered to all non ridden companion horses and some riding horses with specific health requirements.
The scheme offers financial help to borrowers wishing to rehome an equine with ongoing health issues. For non-ridden companions, the supported loan scheme will cover the costs of an annual veterinary health check and vaccinations, routine dental care and assistance with worm control.
With some horses we may offer support with the costs off pre-existing medical conditions and farrier costs.
